Bethany Mehlberg

Director of Marketing

I’m fascinated by human behavior – the tangled web of influences on our choices and decisions. This fascination has guided my diverse experiences, from 17 years as Chief Operating and Relocation Officer for a busy military family (yes, think movie-trailer logistics and flowcharts!) to 10 years in corporate HR for a major airline. Today, it fuels my pursuit of a master’s in marketing.

My husband, a U.S. Naval officer, and I have three children: Isaiah, Memphis, and Sapphire (the three amigos!). We’ve lived all across the country, including Guam, giving me a broad perspective and adaptability. Family is my priority, whether it’s coffee dates with my husband, book discussions with my son, basketball lessons with my younger son, or diving into my daughter’s imaginative play (ask me about Maple Pants, Taco, and Lucky Clover!).

In my (nonexistent) free time, I dream of treats from my favorite spots: Five Daughters Bakery in Nashville, Little Fish Coffee in Kauai, Bubble N Tea in Beaverton, or classic fish n’ chips (Pacific style, of course!).

When I retire, I hope to guide others through major life transitions, alleviating the overwhelming stress often felt during these times. I also plan to mentor young military spouses, moms, and athletes, combining my interests and expertise to help them find their way. Of course, I’ll continue co-hosting our annual family March Madness bracket challenge with my identical twin sister, Shalina. (Ask me about the high school basketball days when we used to confuse opponents with our mirrored numbers 12 and 21 – and our identical hairstyles!). And yes, my Air Jordan Mid 1s are still my go-to footwear.
